IT'S A JESUS THING:
In the picture to right there are many metaphors. My shirt is a "Sanctity" shirt, identifying the sanctification that Christians receive during their lives. The symbol on the shirt is that of an eagle, the mascot of Biola University and symbol of God's guidance in our lives.
The suit of armor standing (literally) next to me represents the Spiritual Armor as described in Ephesians 6. The first regular comic I drew that was posted on my High School locker began with BibleKnight. The issue was vandalized, but the event only spurred me to greater horizons for the Lord, leading me to "On Eagles' Wings".
The armor consists of:
- the Helmet of Salvation, bought with Christ's sacrifice and which we can never lose (note the cross-shaped visor)
- the Breastplate of Righteous, the deeds of good we do in honor and love for the Lord (note the symbols for Poor, Sick, Naked, Hungry)
- the Belt of Truth (note the letters for the books of the Holy Bible)
- the Shield of Faith (note the symbol of the empty tomb, signifying the resurrection of Jesus)
- Feet Fitted with the Readiness that Comes from the Gospel of Peace, to go where God wants us to go. (uh...use your imagination)
- the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, the Holy Bible we read everyday and the weapon against evil (note the double-edgedness of it [Hebrews 4:12])
